Your are doing excellent research that deserves to be presented in the best possible way. Using clear, crisp and pedagogic images is one of the most powerful method to explain your research.
This course teach you to create images ,illustrations and posters (from scratch) that captures attention, control the eye movement and convey information.

1. To get introduced to the basic design principles and improve your visual literacy
2. To know the basics in result presentation
3. To be confortable in using professional drawing software
4 Get the basics about copyrights and image ethics

We will meet seven times, three whole days and 4 half days.
Day 1: Basic design principles and visual literacy
Day 2: Data visualization, poster presentation and oral presentations
Day 3: Demo day of drawing software
Day 4: Presentation of homework 1 (Drawing basics) and introduction to next homework
Day 5: Presentation of homework 2 (Graphical abstract) and introduction to homework 3
Day 6: Feedback day on homework 3 (Poster)
Day 7: Mini conference where you are going to present your poster and get both design- and scientific feedback.

Attend at least 6 of 7 occations

Pass all three homework assignments

Handouts from the lecturer as a fact sheet where all essential information is condensed into a 25 page booklet.


At the end of the course you wioll have to print your final poster in A0-format
