Description
The course covers molecular and clinical aspects of neurodegenerative diseases, mainly focusing on central questions in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease research. The course will highlight important issues and central methods that are used within this research field.
Learning outcomes
Within the area of neurodegenerative diseases, describe and reflect upon:
• Clinical symptoms and available treatment
• Genetics
• Current research on pathological processes, including different research model systems
• Development of novel therapies and diagnostics
