Description
Learning outcomes
A basic understanding of the principles underlying the most common statistical analyses, and practical skills to perform and interpret these.
Contents
Descriptive statistics. Statistical inference: Confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, parametric/non-parametric methods, regression, survival analysis. Study design. Computer based statistical analysis.
Instructions
Lectures (12 x 2 hours).
Computer exercises in groups (3 x 2 hours).
Examination
Attendance at nine or more lectures and oral examination of a group project.
